On September 6, 2013 the Member of the Board of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce Igor Liski took part in the V International Economic Forum – “INNOVATIONS. INVESTMENTS. KHARKIV INITIATIVES!”.
During event, the potential investors and representatives of Ukrainian business discussed the development of international economic integration and competitive growth of Ukraine, the issues of fundraising and outlook for the region's leading industrial clusters.
Forum was attended by the representatives of diplomatic missions, top managers of investment funds, heads of state agencies, representatives of financial and industrial groups. Leszek Balcerowicz acted as the VIP-speaker of the Forum, in 1989 he was the author of the programme to transfer Poland from the principles of the planned state economy to a market one.
‘For the successful implementation of the investment policy, Ukraine should use the successful experience of foreign countries in order to create favourable conditions for business development, simplification of licensing procedures and taxation reduction. It is the implementation of these legislative reforms that will allow Ukraine to modernise production and discover new markets, among other things - through the development of new sectors of the economy’, stated Igor Liski.
